Default ? 6x9 paired to B54?
Want to add 6x9's to the lids, got 17 SG with factory Hu, got the BT line leveler hooked to a B54 in the fairing with Kappas in the pods. Need to figure what speaker is going to work best with the relatively low watts?

the B54 is a great match for (4) 2 ohm kappas or similiar speaks, so i guess im saying upgrade your fairing speakers and bridge your B54, or get a more powerful amp, there are alot of great component speakers/tweets that will outshine your kappas with that amp bridged, although you will probly want to eliminate your pods in fairing

If you don't want to upgrade your amp, or Kappas, like yoop recommended, and you like your Kappa's... you could run the 6x9 Infinity's at 2 ohms for efficiency, I think the 6952M are marine rated!

that is true Mike, but lets back up a step and concentrate on front stage first...pushing that amp to its limits on 4 budget speakers or bridging it to a pair of solid front fairing coax or components? id hate to see anyone invest in lids/speakers and be underwhelmed when their amp is at max
again, just my $.02

The Kappas and amp are new, I'm going to burn them up before I replace them, so I will probably just put some iNfinity kappas 6x9 in the bags and hope they can last a season or two. I really don't have huge expectations because the stock system wasn't really that bad, I could hear the music at 70+ just wanted to add a little punch which I think the Kappas have done. Thanks guys.
