2018 road glide special
hi all, just got a 2018 road glide special and looking into my audio options. ive gone through a few threads on here hoping that it would help with my research but i have a few other q's.
my goal is to be clear at 130 km/hour (80+miles)
i am actually thinking about the full rockford kit, the hd14tkit and the bag lid cut you cut into your factory bags.
i am also looking at options to piece together the fairing and lids system and install it myself. id love to be able to just buy everything i want from amazon except for the biketronics LL if i need those of course. i dont want to cut into the factory harness because of my extended warranty i want to keep it all kosher. is this possible to do?
my budget varies, not including lids id like to keep it under 1000 US for parts. i know the rockford kit would be closer to 1500 from amazon. is it do able for less? is that a realistic budget? is it better to buy a full harness with everything from example americanhardbag.com or are there better options for less?
i installed my speakers and amp in my truck by myself so i dont mind doing the work, and i have HAT speakers all around which i love and an arc amp
im a mechanic by trade but im not an audio guru. Vtwinaudio is very close to me, i will be paying them a visit soon to get my options if i decide to get them to do it all for me.
thank you all for your knowledge in advance

Hypothetically speaking I am pricing out this as a kit
Biketronics 2180.14 amp kit $489
Polk mm652 marine grade 4 ohm 100 watt rms $100 Amazon
polk mm692 marine grade 4 ohm 150 watt rms
$111 amazon
Is this something that would work for me? Anything else I would need beside speaker lids ? Am I on the right track or would none of this work? And then I'm confused on rca or low level inputs etc. I'm not an audio guru sorry

If you're stuck on a Biketronics amp, you'll want the 4180 amp with a 4 speaker setup. They are a great company with good service. The only downside to their amps are there are no ***** to adjust.
If it were me, I would opt for an Arc 600.4 amp and buy a BT 355 line leveler. The LL you will need for your bike.
Im no guru, and still learning every day. Others will chime in, I'm sure. Hope this helps!
