T, do you care to elaborate on these limitations?
Thanks in adance.
Really it's about the ability to parallel speakers. Nothing more, nothing less. The ARC is constant power thus is gonna throw 150w regardless of ohm, unlike for example the HDP will throw 150x4@4 and 250x4@2.
Since I'm a guy that is not gonna put amps in my bags or TP, paralleling is always in the cards.
4 SV 165s run in parallel off channel 1/2 / A of a Hertz HDP4 will be getting 125w each.
4 SV 165s run in parallel off channel 1/2 /A of an ARC 600.4 will be getting 75w each.
ARC is a solid amp for sure, but if parallel ops is in any way in your build plan, I would not use it.
Has anyone tried to register their FDP's in order to claim the hopefully imminent new cable harnesses, or warranty in general? It wont accept the model, serial, cant find the product...
Got it crammed into my 18 RGS, took a bit of moving wiring around, cut off the tabs on the light, and swapped out 2 allen heads holding the top of the light for some button heads, bought me about 1/4” just used some heavy Velcro right on top of the headlight

Would it fit the other way (sideways)? Looks like it's longer than wide

No I tried that too, it would actually fit perfect if it were square, it’s to wide to fit between the fairing braces, ideally it would be the same square inches but square with the dials in one side and connection on the other, but as it was it’s pretty easy to get in there, sounds awesome! And I haven’t flashed it yet, getting that tomorrow, so all I have are the 2 front speakers.
