Bike needs to be running, set bass and treble in the middle, set crossover to Full pass, and adjust gains as Tailwind mentioned above.
I'd also unplug the RCA's for the rear and set gain on the front then do the same for the rears.

I did read the "Sticky" about doing that. Or would someone know, or can give me a safe ballpark estimate of where I should set the controls?

What the. . . . lol Those gains are not even close. I'd ask that stereo shop ALL my money back!! Follow Matt, T's and SB's advice and you're golden!!
