When I read your post make think if you simply use rear speaker output and not y of front and don't have a dealer flash rears are dead.i
if you used rear factory then I would use line levler on both .dose your fade work ?

Are there options for the 6x9 lids that don't cause this issue of the magnets hitting?

Some guys are using the Polk MM692s. Much smaller magnet but good sound.

I'll look into those, thanks. Now to find some good lids that don't break the bank, cause I know the paint will.

Velocity red sunglo....it's not a special paint. I was referring to getting the paint and more so having it done.

gotcha. I was only asking because I have a set of lids I tossed around the idea of selling. Probably gonna keep them though

Figured out the no sound issue. I'm just using one line leveler so I had to split it. Works like a champ now and sounds oh so good. The magnets are a pain but I'll get used to it. The sound offsets the negative of magnets hitting.

i read on here about someone shimming one side of the speaker away from the lid to gain clearance. Either way congrats on figuring it out
