Pro audio speakers are not 'full range' speakers, meaning they are designed to play a narrower frequency range, which they do very well, very
loud and crystal clear. They are usually matched with horns or tweets for the highs, and often 8's, 10's or 12's in the bags for lows. One type of setup will use a good full range in the upper fairing and PA's in the lowers, because the PA's are loud enough to be heard at highway speed.

I just picked up a set of possible drop in PRO AUDIO speakers for the tourpack pods and possibly the lowers. I am going to do some testing and comparing this weekend and give my results.

I'm currently running 6MB250-NDY in the lowers. I think they would fit in the rear pods, but I haven't tried them.

Sorry, an 15 (now 18) Limited.

I've got the legatia's now in the front which sound magical when I use another head unit... even with the 355's it's "Hi pitched" at best. If I have to change everything out, I'm fine with it, since I can put the speakers in my Jeep, but want to find good full range, and finish it with a trailer with 18's

So what are we looking at? Components? Coaxial's or Pro Audio? Coaxial's are the easiest. Components are a little more labor intensive and pro audio requires commitment to several types of speakers, horns, etc., Not to mention a DSP on your model bike. If this is your first sound system on this bike I'd go middle of the road and stick with components.
With components your options are the DD AW's or the DB Drive WDX65C speakers.

This is the size compairasent of the test speaker and a stock Rushmore speaker.
So the test speaker is a drop in for the tourpack pods

Anxiously awaiting your test results for fitment and sound quality, volume and clarity.
