Default Antenna plug on 08 Electra Glide

Sorry for the newbie question, been searching and can't seem to find the right answer here.

Bike is a 2008 Electra Glide standard. No antenna, for whatever reason. Horrible radio reception as a result. Did some reading and learned that the antenna wire should be ran under the seat somewhere, figured I'd tear into the bike and try to find it. When I had my Road King with a fairing I mounted a car antenna on the saddlebag bracket that worked pretty good, was going to do the same here. Well, just tore into it and here's what I found.

Plug on the right is a standard car antenna plug. Plug on the left is the Harley plug. They'll plug in together, but the outside of each plug I'm guessing is a ground and needs to be connected? I suppose I could wrap them with copper wire then electrical tape, but I assume there's a 'correct' way to do this without rigging it together?
