Default Avoiding a dealer re-flash?

Hi all,

After a lot of reading and research, I have decided to upgrade the speakers and add an amp to my 2017 Tri-Glide Ultra.

The system would consist of 2 pairs of Kappa 62.11i speakers and a Cerwin Vega B54 amp.

What I don't know is what I need to add to avoid having the dealer "re-Flash".

Also will I be able to use any of the factory wiring or will I need to upgrade?

Lastly, would I be wrong in my assumption I would need to add poly-fill to the rear speaker pods?

Since you have an Ultra, you should have the common flash needed. I wouldn't think the tri glide would be programmed different. You will need the biketronics line levelers and Would have to run a power and ground from batt, and also speaker wires. None of the factory wiring is used for amp and speakers besides speaker outputs for the line levelers. I can't answer on the poly in the rear pods, but someone should chime in on that.

You'll just need one line leveler. Get a couple RCA splitters, single male into two female. Split your signal out of one line leveler into your amp. No on polyfill. Inside your fairing you have two speaker pods that will need to be removed and slightly modified to fit your Kappas into them. There isnt' much space in the rear pod as it is, adding polyfill to those would just muffle the sound. That said, you can absolutely try it both ways! I wouldn't want to take those fairing pods out twice though. Awful. Good luck!
