Default Amp Issue?

I have a kenwood 998 , SS pn4.100 I have a intermittent open in my left front speaker. I have changed RCA cables swapped speakers from side to side. I just installed new speaker wire 16 gauge. At low level I have no output from the left speaker when I turn it up the speaker turns on. It never goes out at 80% of max output or higher. I am thinking there must be something in the amp that is not right. It has done this since day one.

Check to make sure the filter on that side of the amp is set to HP or Flat.

Damn that is the only thing I have not checked. I have been pulling my hair out (old isn't happy about that). I will pop the fairing off and give it a shot. I have had that thing off so many times I have it down to 10 mins to get it off and 15 to get it on. If this don't work I am getting a new amp. Thanks Gan!

I cycled the switches and the problem disappeared.
