Default Need help with lowers and bag speakers

Been readings audio section for weeks and just as I think I am ready to purchase 4 speakers and amp, I get confused. What I am upgrading is my Wife's 13 RKcvo. Comes stock with lower speakers and speakers in the saddlebag. Would like to upgrade the speakers so she can enjoy the sound at highway speeds. We never use the system in the parking lot. Was thinking the lowers are the most important for her and needing something that can be heard. Any help would be appreciated. As for budget would like to keep around $500, don't want to sound cheap but after reading this audio section I am very interested in upgrading my 14 SG when I get her bike done. Thanks, the knowledge base is huge in this forum.

A CVO Road King with speakers? Does it have a Head Unit or do you plug in an iPod or Bluetooth? Very sweet CVO by the way.

I'm kind of thinking u talk Gann out of a set of JL C5 5x7s for the lids then grab a used set of marine Polk DB652s for the lowers followed by an inexpensive 4x150@4 ohm amp. Power, ground, connectors, done.

That's a beautiful bike!! Don't see those everyday! So. For $500 bucks you're looking at a set of infinity Kappa 62.11i in the lowers. The Pioneer Pro 6900's in the lids with 6x9 adapters you can get from V-twin audio or Biketronics. Pushed with a Soundstream PN4.1000D amp in the saddle bags.

Ha! That would work too! Only I'd still go with the Kappas in the lowers!! She needs louder speakers in the lids than the JL's T. The JL's are bass speakers with excellent clarity!! They only work for me because my other 8 speakers will wake up the dead. Lol!!
