So I traded in my '14 Breakout and got a 15 RGS and after around a year upgraded to Boom II amp and speakers. Few weeks ago rt speaker blew out and for now looking to get a new set of speakers that will could handle an amp upgrade down the road. Looking for in put of what sounds good and is quality sound with a budget around 500-600 bucks for front speakers. I listen to metal and hard rock @ 65-75+ mph....looking for quality sound over distortion as a new amp could (will) be on the horizon

 

Most of the experts here will tell you that you have to start from scratch. Boom is not compatible with aftermarket speaks/amps etc. Boom II uses separate amp channels for the tweeters and woofers and each is 2 ohms. This is all managed by the amp, wiring harness and radio flash. Pretty much impossible to swap out one speaker with equivalent 2 ohm woofer/tweeter that is wired separately.

 

The hu has bin files called on and off. Tune your bike while it's running. Plus your voltage is higher while running vs not running.
