Wiring options. I didn't think out would work out on bikes, but back in my rocker days I would wire my bass cabs with 8 ohm or 16 ohm depending on the amp I was using.

Seriously, dudes are buying 8 ohm shix and not really understanding the strategy. Possibly a good time to have a reasonable discussion about such strategy?

Not buying 8 ohm shix as it's not applicable to my set-up so no horse in this race here.

T, I did it cause needed to run four speakers off one six channel amp and to get max watts to all had to bridged one set to 1-4 and left me needing 8 ohm for parallel bridge on 5-6 .So less amps needed .And think you made great career choice .

Nothing wrong with asking. I answered you twice. This thread seems rhetorical to state another why when the answers have already been given in your thread. So not directed at you Pete.

Don't know anyone who has. But you have been at this more than enough to know how to wire 8 ohm speakers

I believe the question was directed more to WHY instead of HOW.

What makes u think I don't know how to wire 8 ohm speakers?

Like I said little buddy, I don't have 8 ohm Speaks nor do I want them. But they seem to be flying off the shelf for dudes with 4 channels and one set of Speaks.

Park ur ego & disrespect issues for a bit here and let's try and share some solid info surrounding the topic of the thread. Is it really just the cool factor saying that u have 8 ohm speaks bridged in parallel or is there an actual benefit in buying the same exact 4 ohm speak in the 8 ohm version with 4 channels available?

What do you think.... Is there any benefit to an 8ohm speaker on a bike?

Not a damn thing when running 2 speaks off a 4 channel amp.

Paralleling 2 set of Speaks, absolutely. But is it a speaker issue or an amp issue?
