Default Speaker upgrade question?

I have in my rear pods. Kickers 41KSC674 6 3/4's nice speaker. I have seen a lot of people use Kappa's. The is a 6 3/4 Kappa 62.11.i. Runs about $150 ish. Kickers are 4 ohm and the Kappas are 2 ohm. I am using an amp RZ4-3000D. So the impedance should not be an issue. Are the kappa worth the upgrade? Thanks

HU:: Kenwood X998
AMP:: RZ4-3000D
Front speakers:: Titain ii 6.5 Biketronics
Rear speakers:: Kickers 41KSC674 6 3/4
RCA :: Cables
Hogwired:: Hand control device

Not sure what speaker you looked at brother but the Polk are 199.00 not 700.00.
You will like the kappas though

I have Kappas now and have actually blown the right one to where it snaps almost all the time. I will most likely be replacing them with Hawg Wired. The resident stereo guru on my other form suggest the Hawg Wired as a great replacement to the Kappas. They HW and Kappas are both 2ohm as I drive them with a hogtunes 2 channel amp.

I have looked at those. While I like there products the specs. Show the speakers are the same or a bit lacking. When a amp is involved the main reason for blown speakers is. Gains too high or loose connections. There is always a issue of a bad batch or poorly made speaker but that is not impossible but unlikely. I looked at HW amps and you can easily over power either of these speakers based on the gain settings and listing volume. That is not option that is spec listings. Good luck and peace

Let us know how the Kappas turn out. They thump really good off that amp! Remember you will likely need a spacer.

What type of spacer would I need for the rear pods? Is this what I would need or is that for the front?
