Aquatic AV question-USB
I have the $500.00 Aquatic AV model without satellite hook up. I've seen guys say they are listening to music through a thumb drive. I loaded up some music and plugged into the USB port and it says "USB non readable." Is it that a thumb drive directly will not work? Is it only USB with the phone? Also, Ive seen guys say that a clock pops up in their odometer area when the ECM recognizes a new radio. I'm not seeing this. Could it be the way the radio is hooked up? Thanks for the responses ahead of time.

I have the same radio as you do Are you using the USB port behind the faceplate and not the one on rear wiring harness of the radio. Assuming you are using the one behind the faceplate, my original cheap thumb drive had some issues with reading and playing music. I purchased the following thumb drive, formatted all my Itnues music to MP3's then I loaded it and have had 0 issues since that time

I was using the USB port behind the faceplate. Hmmm the thumb drive is a SanDisk. I thought that would be a decent one. Thanks so much!! I appreciate it!!

I had also done a lot of reading on the issues from other folks some had luck formatting the drive before using as FAT or FAT32 however my other issue was songs pausing during playback for 1-2 seconds but picked right back up where it left off. This was super annoying. I discovered not all USB drives are the same better ones have faster reading/write ability which if why I chose the one I did. I hope you get it figured out soon.

Your thumb drive must be formatted as FAT32 and music must be in MP3 format. However Windows won't let you format a thumb drive bigger than 32 gb as FAT32, SOOOO use this program to change exFat to Fat32
