Default Tuning the AT28 tweeters

They are on their own channels now hooked up to the TXO crossovers.
Looking for input on tuning these things with the PSM. I had to really turn up the gains to get any sound.

Yeah.
The Beymas are bridged and hardly had to use any amp gain for those. Same as when I had the AWs in there. The difference there was the tweeters were running parallel with the AWs.

Start by finding your distortion point at 18.6 or 18.9 vac (can't remember the number off the top of my head for 85 watts) and then slowly turn down from there.

I'll start there. But tuning them is another animal since they're a high freq speak. Not sure my ears can handle that. LOL

Just make sure the Beyma are playing too. With the PSM you'll really be able to dial in the tweets. I'm not sure what the crossover point is on the txo, but you'll be able to change the frequency settings in the eq and have 7 bands from line 5Khz to 20Khz (just an example).

Don't fry the tweeters trying to get more out of them.

The TXO-HP is an inline 12d/oct filter with a 4kHz crossover point at 4ohms and a power rating of 100 watts RMS.

ATs "published" freq 1,500-30k

Not to hijack here, but if running the TXO with 28's and AW on a bridged 600.4...are the TXO being over powered?
