I wanted to swap out the factory HU and go with a double din unit so i searched and researched and very found little info on this. I decided to purchase the Pioneer 4100 NEX because of all the features it has, and I found a great deal on it.

 

I used the Scosche singe din adapter and opened it up for the face plate. I used the Biketronics adapter to retain handle bar controls and bypass the security fault. As you can see in the pictures the face is separated from body, the ribbon cable is approx 8" long, which gave me the distance to clear the knuckles for the handle bars. Of course the CD/DVD player is not accessible, but this unit has a HDMI out, and I ran a cable for it and my Iphone to the tour pack for the ability to play video.
