Default Tour Pack Speakers and Amp.

2012 Limited
Stock HU
Amp need a new one.
Fairing speakers Kappa 62.11
Money to spend $500.00

last year I bought a RF PBR 300x2 and the 2 infinity Kappa Speakers. Loud, but there were some things I didn't like. The amp is fried.

What I would like to do. Keep my existing infinity speakers, however they seems more "brite" and I would like to get a bit more of warm sound. I am guessing the amp went because I had the bass up a bit too much, and when on the road it wasn't unusual for the amp to be clipping. I followed the instructions here on how to set the gain, and I think it was set correctly, but I was looking for more in sound and not as much mid to high range.

Since I am replacing the amp anyway I thought I would replace the stock TP speakers as well. I would also like to be able to get sound out of them so I could hear them when traveling in the 50-70 mph range.

The clipping of the amp also bother me with my previous set up.

What I am looking at getting as of right now, only because of what I read here no other reason. Set me straight on what I need to change.

Amp: Cerwin Vega B54
TP Speakers. Choices: Polk MM651, or Kicker 41ksc6704, or Pioneer TS-A1686R

Line out converter from stock HU PAC SNI-35.

For the tour pack POD speakers, I need them to slip in without spacers, I already lost space there due to the Hammock seat so using spacers will take out more space and that would be a problem for passengers and the occasional luggage I set there.

I would like to keep my HU, as I have the Bomm module and like the weather band, and I use the CB.

Suggestions appreciated.

From where I'm sitting you're looking good Sir! The Cerwin Vega B54 works perfect with those Infinity Kappas! and since you're using that amp I'd go with the Polk MM651's in the rear pods. I've had that set up. Sounds dam good!

Thanks Gannicus for your blessing, I am hoping I will keep my FM as some have reported and it will end the clipping and overheating I experienced with the RF PBR300x2 amp that fried.
