Crossover's at amp or HU?
For discussion...for those of you that have the choice...where do u set your crossovers at the amp or HU. Right now I am running my amps 4180 (no choice) & TN 4. 900 at full pass and using the 998 to set x-overs, slope an gain! Norm is to run one or the other but on a bike...??

I agree my best option is to run the amps at full pass and use the 998 to set the X-overs, slope and gain. The DSP in the pro section of the 998 is a nice feature to have! I was just curious to see if anybody was going against conventional wisdom and using both amp and HU X-overs! Thanks for the input fella's!

Active all the way.
Generally speaking, any time you can control the signal prior to amping, the more control you will have. While the 998 doesn't have full-blown crossover capabilities, the high pass filter will allow you better control of your low frequency cutoff.
I just noticed you are out near my old stomping grounds (Shorewood). Ever ride out to Starved Rock in Utica?
