The 520 will run the 4 speakers of your choice! Not familiar with the JBL's that you got, try em can't beat the price! 4 Kappas would sound good, they would also receive more power from the 520 since they are 2.7 ohm's! The Gogan bro's say don't sleep on them R's

 

Ok got it installed took me all day Im slow and meticulous soundstream amp 4.520ad kappa 62.11i in the front and jbl gto 638 in the back the kappas sound great the jbl not so great i think i may have them hooked up backward i forgot the little plug on harley is positive but a rainstorm came and I didnt have time to mess with it. But let me tell you the audio sounds great with the radio volume at half you can stand 10 ft behind my running bike that has some vance and hines slip ons and it is clear and loud still bihind the bike. Im please with the results 400 bucks it sounds better then the bikes that harley has charged people over $1500 for their boom stuff.

 

Congrats on your install, sounds like you might need 2 more Kappa's! One way to ck polarity is to take speaker wire and touch what you think is Pos + and neg - to a battery's pos and neg (AAA or 9 volt) and if the cone moves forward it is wired correctly! Good luck!

 

Yes 2 more kappas both sets ohm out at 3 ohms so i set my gains to closely match that 19.4 is what both are set at now and man i thought it sounded good when they were set 16.1 for 2 ohm they sound even better and can bring volume all the way up no distortion. People I ride with cant believe how good it sounds for the small amount of money I have in it.

 

Good info thanks. Thinking about a similar setup on a 2017 Ultra Limited... Figure you mounted the amp in the RG fairing; wonder if would fit in a Batwing?

 

Ok just a little check in I installed the soundstream pn4.520amp with biketronics breakout kit and now have 4 infinity kappas installed system has ran flawlessly for around 10 months now. It has ran through rainstorms, 19 hour iron butt rides and several 10 hour days of riding on trips and still sounds really good way better than the harley kits the dealer has been installing. I think the studying paid off and I got the dependable good sounding system I was looking for.
