Bike is a 2016 Street Glide. Currently I have ARC Moto 602s in the fairing pods powered by a Cerwin Vega B52 with a Biketronics BT355 line leveler. It sounds good as is but I'm looking for a bit more "fullness" up front and maybe even a bit more low-end if that's possible. I'm thinking I'll keep the B52 and run another pair of 4-ohm speakers in parallel for a 2-ohm load. The B52 is rated 250w x 2 @ 2-ohms. Any suggestions? I've thought about replacing the fairing speakers with Mille Pro MPX 165.3 speakers and moving the Moto 602s to the lower fairings but I'm trying to keep this upgrade low cost. I'm also intrigued by the Tempesta speakers in the lower fairings.

 

That's not enough amp for those speakers...especially the Moto's. We run around 200w to them. Also when running speakers in parallel you want two of the same speakers so you can tune the amp to both speakers...so the Tempesta's won't work that way either.

 

What would you suggest? Ditch the Moto's and do something different or switch the amp? I like the Moto's but they can be a little bright to my ears.

 

Another question.... would I notice a difference in SQ if I installed the BT speaker brackets in place of the pods?
