Audio Question for 2010 Road Glide
I am looking for clarity and some bass. It sounds good now, but when driving 50mph and over its seems distorted. I tried adjusting the Amp the best I can but need help with upgrading.
My Current system in my 2010 Road Glide.
- Stock Radio
- Rockford Fosgate PBR300 x4
- Hertz Front speakers 6.5
- Hertz Rear 6x9 speakers in bags
I wanted to add Hogtunes tweeters and a subwoofer. What do I need to make this happen and will it sound better

Also, I would dump the amp and get good power to the existing stuff before adding speakers.

Front in Fairing - Hertz HCX 165
Rear in bags - Hertz ECX 690.5
What Amp do you recommend if I plan on adding Hogtunes Road Glide Tweeter Pod HF-2RG 4405-0205 and a sub or 2 more speakers inside the lower fairings.

IMO there are better options for your tweeters for a 2010 RG. Mounting a set of quality tweeters in the Hawg Wired grills is easy to do. (pic attached)
You really need to upgrade your amp to something putting out a minimum of 125 watts RMS per channel and 150 watts RMS would be better.
You have a lot of options with a 2010 RG as far as what will fit

What is up with all this recent talk of putting subs in the bags? Unless your nothing more than a Bar Hopper or Parkin lot Pimpin what's the point? If you actually ride there's better components to spend your money on to achieve good sound at highway speeds.
And for the love of all things Audio, when you pull that 300x4 and replace it with a better amp, please throw that thing in the garbage where it belongs.

SBates08 I wanted to put a sub for a little more bass it seems like it needs it. I could be wrong.
So if I go with 6 speakers and 2 tweeters do I still need a 4channel amp?
I do not know enough about audio, so I need assistance. Just want some good clean sound at all speeds and any volume

Budget amp with power. Soundstream PN4.1000D
Upgrade amp with power. Hertz HDP4
The are many amps you can run with these speakers but the amps I suggested sounds good with the speakers you have.
