Did you just grind off that plastic portion where the speaker sits on top of and those 4 tabs, left bottom and top right? Just make that area around the speaker hole flat enough to for a 6.5 speaker to fit in?

 

Hogtunes has pods for the twin cooled. You have to buy speakers with them.
Just scroll over the lower fairing and click on the blue I.

no, that speaker pod is for a 2014 Ultra (non twin cooled). I cut the vent holes on the side where the fan blows air out of then did all kinds of work on the inside to make it all fit together. It's a pretty involved process but it can be done.
