Default Need a little more sound

I have a 2013 EGC with stock radio and speakers. I just spent 4 days out west on a rented 2016 Limited and the radio seemed louder and better clarity than mine at speed. I would assume it was stock stereo in it but I'm not even sure what stock for it would be. I would like to just get that little extra volume and clarity on my bike without breaking the bank. I was hoping just a bigger speaker would do it for me but from searching and reading I'm guessing I'll need an amp also. I do listen to the radio so I don't want anything that is going to interfere with that. First am I right to think a set of kappa 62.11i isn't going to be enough to do the trick? Would the kappas and a pbr300x2 be a good set up or something else? I'm not looking to add any more speakers, just get a little more volume and clarity at speed and if just speakers would do it that'd be great.
Also, I'm looking to add this Bluetooth kit to be able to use handlebar controls with my phone. Anyone have experience with it?

If your gonna just upgrade the fairing speakers then yea the Kappas and the PBR300x2 is your best bet on a budget and being able to keep FM as well. You'll also need a set of adapters to mount the Kappas in the fairing. I personally like these.

Thanks. I did remember about the adapters. I was looking at the same brand you linked. That's the same brand making the Bluetooth kit. I can get the bt kit and adapter rings both for under $160. Anyone with info on the bt kit? Anyone have the kappas or amp on a shelf looking to get rid of?
