Sony Mex-70BT
So I see many recent threads still recommending this head unit.
For the ones using it, are you using the mobile app?
I stay current with my phones and since Sony has not updated the software since 2014 (both Android and iPhone), this app is now useless on many of todays phones. For me, it seems the radio loses many functions without the app. I talked to Sony support many times and they keep telling me its up to the engineers, but again, nothing since 2014.
I am ready to dump Sony because they do not support their stuff.
Maybe its time for Kenwood?

I run this stereo and also use a Sony phone. In all honesty I couldn't care much for controlling the stereo by the app. I run a 32 gig usb stick in the glove box attached to the rear, hard wired usb connection. Plenty of tunes there and shuffle play is what I use. I control the stereo with the thumb controls on the handle bar. Why would you want to control the bike from a phone app?! Not safe when riding and of I want to control the stereo when parked, I use the stereo headset. Not a big deal.

The Kenwood 998 is much better at searching through your media but still requires a head unit click but it is doable even with winter gloves on.
The Sony's display is much better though, there is that but I'm sticking with the Kenwood 998 until I can find a better solution.

robo74. New to forum. Don’t know how to get question to you other than this. I saw on a search that you asked about 82 Sportster not being able to get lights when everything else was fine. I just bought Anniversary 1982 sporty having same problem. Previous owner said he put in new battery. Runs turn signals no head light tail light.
