I grounded my BT4180 to the triple tree as suggested by the instructions and then found a spot on the frame I tapped close to the triple tree. I jumpered a 14 gauge ground wire between the two in hopes to create a "better" ground. i never tested the triple tree ground alone by running the system off it. I read a few members posting that the triple tree ground may be insufficeint so added the jumper while I had the switch panel off. No issues the year+ it has been installed.
