Default Flhtp radio

Good evening all. I have a 2011 FLHTP. I'm considering installing a radio, amp, and two speakers. Would it be difficult to do, as there is no radio in it currently, and I do not believe it has the wiring for one. Thanks!

Repost in the "audio systems" thread. Great info. Did it myself. Skill level not very high in my option. A few questions. Will be asked what is your budget? Just front speakers or rears also? I assume you don't have hand controls? and so on.

OK, budget is about 1000, just front speakers, for now, and no, no hand controls.

Biketronics Titan II 6.5" speakers 269.95

Kenwood X998 169.95

Power Acoustik RZ4-3000D 145.99

Amp will handle 4 speakers in case you expand. This is my setup except I have rears. Plenty of other stuff out there. But I think you would be happy. Good luck

with that budget, install the handlebar controls too
easy to do and individual switches and housings can be purchased from HD
i did the same thing your lookin to do on my 2010 FLHTP
i went with a aquatic av - $300
kappa speakers. - $125
cerwin vega B54 amp. - $150

handlebar controls and housings im guessing around $200ish
get under the fairing with a DMM and locate a key on hot wire and a constant hot wire and your good to go
any questions...we are all here
fyi, i used the 4 channel amp cuz i put rear pods on also. if you have no plans on doing that, check out the B52
system is loud, clear, simple and reliable..although im no audiophile,
adapter rings. - metra
amp power and ground - home depot bulk wire, solder on your own battery lugs, bottle torch, flux paste and plumbers solder. fill it up. that connection will never vibrate loose or fail
dang, this is my 4th edit already, old age sux, i HIGHLY recommend visiting cablestiesandmore.com and check out there braided sheathing. i love this stuff for adding any wiring to protect your wires and keep it neat and clean lookin
and a must have for pulling wires thru bars. this stuff is tuff as nails and slides thru bars like a dream
i use short pieces of shrink tube on the cut ends to keep from fraying
ok. enuf gor one post
