Default Clicking/popping noise after adding amp and speakers

I just added a PBR300x2 and Polk Audio 651 speakers to the front of my CVO Ultra. I left the rear Boom Audio speakers and amp in to run the rears. Went on a ride yesterday and after about 20 minutes I started to get a clicking/popping sound out of the front speakers. Turned volume way down and it went away. Add volume its back. Its the stock head unit. Havent had a chance to look at it yet, anyone have similar problems or ideas were to start?

You will want to check and make sure the polarity is correct on the speaker connections.
How is the amp connected to the stock HU, RCA's with Line Out Converter or high level outputs?
Is there a handlebar control modual installed?
What are the gains set to on the amp?
What is he crossover switch set to LP - AP - HP?
What is the FQ set to?

Thanks for the reply, finally had a chance to look at it. Also I listened to it in the garage for about an hour after install and one 10 minute ride. Its almost like its shorting going on and off but the blue light stays lit.
I have it hooked up to the high level outputs.
No handlebar control module installed.
Gain is set at 5 and the crossover switch is set to AP
Freq is set to 400.

This is on my CVO which has a boom audio amp that I left hooked up for the rear speakers. The Boom Audio amp is kinda hurtin for power.

I think i just figured it out. Front speakers were wired through the boom audio amp and not my head unit. Hopefully i didnt screw anything up. Gotta go get the pins for my head unit plug.

Start with your ground connections.

Grounded straight to the battery. Im thinking since the original speakers where wired through the harley amp, this might be the problem. On my way to get pins for the radio harness to wire the radio to the amp instead of from the rear amp to the front, new amp to the speakers.

That would be a good move. That'll more than likely fix your issues.
