Awesome!!!! Run the pilot bit thru clockwise obviously but run the hole bit counterclockwise just a tad to score it just a bit then hammer it home clockwise.

Let me know if u need some treated grill cloth to cover the grills up as it not only further protects it from the rain, but really cleans the look up in the inner fairing. Some prefer the look of the grill mounted in the tweet too so just let me know bro. I have a bunch extra just collecting dust.

How are you guys mounting these?
Silicone or that little bracket that comes with the tweeters?

Depends on the tweet. Some tweets drop in the hole u drill on the grill and have a drew backing while others have clips. A little ring of silicone is never a bad thing.

Do the HD Boom grills allow enough clearance for the AT28'S?

Are they convexed like the Hogtunes? If so, shouldn't be a problem.

They are not the same shape which is why I was hoping for someone that has tried them would respond.

I see you guys are using aftermarket grilles when mounting the tweeters. This may be a stupid question......but are the stock grills not strong enough to mount tweeters ?
Thanks for all the tips in this thead .
