I don't think anyone has posted this yet in here (or if they did I missed it) how does this unit do in the sun? Can you actually still read the screen?

 

That is an issue. I used an anti glare screen protector meant for a tablet that I cut down to fit and it works great.

 

I thought it had a built in antiglare screen. Was that not good enough and you had to add an additional layer? I was thinking of putting one of these in my jeep as well if the glare wasn't that bad. I can't read my Kenwood I have in the Jeep at all with the sun out. If this works well enough I was going to just pick one up for the jeep and the bike.

 

The built-in one might work fine and a car or there's not direct sunlight on the unit. But on my Road Glide when the sun is behind you it will blind the crap out of you

 

Installing this unit on the SGS tonight. Also have one of Simmy's new splash covers for the newer fairing bikes as well.

AS a side note, BT is working on offering this system as well. They are currently messing with their handlebar controller to make sure everything works with it correctly.

 

Who makes the splash cover for it?
