Default Speakers for JL 400/4 v2 amp

Based off experience, can someone recommend a set of speakers (coaxial or components) to match this amp (JL 400/4) bridged. Looking for loud with good sq for a fairing install.
Had hertz Millie MLK 165.3 and they just didn't get close to loud enough. Focal krc165 bridged off of a JL 280/4 blow the Millie's away in the tourpack.
Thanks

If I were you, I'd sell the 400/4 and get something to power the MLK's. I think you'd be much happier with an amp change than a speaker change. People that buy MLK's (and KRC's) generally like the music details and not just have something that gets really loud (like my pro audio DD VO's).

So 200 watts to the MLK and they are not as loud as the KRC with 140 watts in the tour pak

Curious, did you have the Mille's bridged and in the TP in this comparison?

I have 235-2400W going to my MLK165.3 and they easily over power the MPX690s at 175W and 150W to a set of Focal EC165Ks (even when the tweeters worked)

No, they are in the fairing. Hopefully tomorrow I can get the front fairing back on and test it then. Found the speaker wires crossed and that helped some but it still doesn't sound like it should so I'm still playing with it.
Bridged mode on the JL is more than plenty juice for the Millie's.

What amp are you using? Also are you using the BT Line Levelers?

I am currently using a Diamond HXM 800.2 and yes, I am using the BT355. I have the gains turned up on the BT355s.

Ok gotcha. Sounds like somethings not right. Once you confirm all the wiring is correct you could try swapping the LL's.
