Default 1989 FLTC Radio Upgrade Issues

I finally gave up trying to keep the original radio in my bike and installed a Sony MEX-N4100BT and the AXXESS ASWC 1 to keep my hand controls. Radio works great, not so much the ASWC. The adapter will not program with any attempt. It appears as if it does not see the radio. Hopefully someone else has found the fix for this. All help appreciated.

It will work. Make sure your pink wire is connected to the front side of the harness and make sure you hold the volume button in long enough to program.

Are you using the harness that came with the Metra 99-9600?

There's a white connector located on the clutch side of the bike just underneath your left speaker. Find the pink wire at the top of the harness and cut it. Make sure you leave enough wire to splice it to the controller.

My old -1989- uses the AXXESS ASWC-1 universal interface module, different than newer models. Pretty much all the wires are different color codes. None the less thank you.
