Default Speaker Ohm Question

I am running a Aquatic HU and Soundstream PN4.1000D with Polk Db 6.5 and Polk 6x9.

I am upgrading my 6.5. Should I run 2 or 4 ohm 6.5? Does it really make a difference with my setup?

Thanks for all the help guys!

It really don't matter as long as the replacements are either 2 or 4 ohm with your set up.

4 ohm gives you more flexibility in your system and a wider variety of speakers.

Upgrade the Polk DB's to the MM651's. They are 2.7 ohms.

That's my plan! I had been debating on some Hertz instead. But sounds like the mm651 are best bang for my buck.

According to a Polk audio tech, the MM651UM is actually a 4 ohm speaker. Check out the Q&A section re: ohms (question 4). Great deal at Sonic now.
