Default 2nd Set of Speaker Recommendation for Lowers

Have a 14 SGS with Arc 600.4 amp & set of Moto 602's in fairing. Installing lowers then adding another pair of speakers to the 600.4 in hopes of a fuller sound. Is another set of 602's the way to go or is there a better option to complete the system with? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I matched set typically is the way to go. The downside is the lowers tend to fade out so don't expect a huge difference at 70 down the interstate. The 602's like power, the 150 per side is sufficient to run them. I have heard a lot of feedback that the lowers need a more efficient speaker. If I had lowers I would try a Hertz hcx or possibly a pro audio speaker. Just keep in mind if you haven't purchased lowers uet to consider 6x9 lids. The right speaker back there will fill better than lowers in my opinion

Lot of good info in this thread
Gan ran the 602 in the Lowers and really liked them
I plan on running them in the Lowers as well.
another option would be to move the current 602 to the pods and upgrade the fairing speakers to a nice set of components.

We've done a few setups with the 602s in lowers or tour pack pods but a cleaner sounding set of speakers in the fairing. Good combo if balanced out right.

We did an Ultra about a month ago with DD VO and B3 horns in the fairing, 2 pair of 602s (only wanted speakers in certain locations, hence 3 pair of 6.5). The result was pretty good. 602s had good bass response and a little bright which is perfect when not in your face.

Like the idea of components but would have to cut into fairing somewhere, right? Are there any great 6.5" marine/motorcycle friendly components available? Fuller sound is what I'm shooting for off the 600.4 amp, just not convinced I can get that with just fairing and lower speakers???
