2nd Set of Speaker Recommendation for Lowers
#11
Like the idea of components but would have to cut into fairing somewhere, right? Are there any great 6.5" marine/motorcycle friendly components available? Fuller sound is what I'm shooting for off the 600.4 amp, just not convinced I can get that with just fairing and lower speakers???

I plan on cutting a center hole and mounting the tweeter there

I don't have a pic of the setup in the new 14+ batwing fairing, the 13 and down use 2 of the gauge holes (not present on the Rushmores). Most common install is relocating the mirrors and installing horns/tweeters in there. Also ran across a setup where the guy mounted horns on the right/left side of his radio. Riders left is just an empty space, riders right is the useless little storage compartment.

Have seen and heard a few using the Rushmore stock mirror holes in the parking lot and the sound was pretty good. Yet to hear it at 80 mph way out there on the tip of the batwing.

[QUOTE=Tailwind;15537926]No such thing as useless storage on a sled man!!!!!! That right storage compartment is called a Rushmore Gun Harness!!!!!!

intetested to hear some comments on how the DD components sound as compared to others commonly recommended here
