Has anyone have this happen to them before???

I just went and opened up my fairing since my right speaker went dead, and instead of finding a loose wire, I find this.. WTH
The three legs that hold on the magnet all broke off!!!
other side is fine, no sign of cracking or anything..
this really bites..
and not sure if I have a warranty..
I will have to look into that..

**** and for those who will ask I put it in 8/7/16.. speaker went dead 2 weeks ago
this is the first chance I had to look at it, so it lasted 2 weeks*****

Nope, I have 4 bikes, this one actually get used the least..
no major bumps or anything like that.. roads are actually pretty nice around here.

Same exact thing happened to my buddy about 2 months ago

 

Looks like a defect which should be covered by warranty. These speakers have a 3 year warranty. You can contact Infinity Harmon. They will want a copy of the receipt. A copy of the UPC on the from the box may be needed also. And a photo of the damage should get the ball rolling. Unfortunately it can take 4 to 6 weeks to receive a replacement.

 

I had the same problem with 693's in my lids. Purchased off of Amazon so got a refund from the seller.

 

Had the same thing happen to me with a pair a 693's in my bags. Both of them broke. Didn't last 2 weeks, Just chalked it up as a loss. Lesson learned!!! In hindsight I'm glad they did brake (lol). Went with a pair of pioneer 6900's and couldn't be happier!!!!
