I'm looking to replace the tape deck in my 96 FLHT. It's after market and doesn't have module for handle bar controls.
I'd like to have a head unit that is affordable. Has CD and aux(for ipod and android music ) with weather ban . I don't have a big system ,and don't want that . I do want decent sound quality. I'm running the faring speakers and that's it. May do a tour pack with arm speakers later as the wiring is under the seat for that . I've checked in to bike tonics for the bar controls module. And will be going with that . Any suggestions would be a great thanks. I'm having a hard time finding a head unit that has all the features that I want and has remote capacity for the bar controls. Maybe most do but aren't clearly defined in the spec info .

 

The weather band is going to be the hard one to find. Most aftermarket units will work with a hand control module these days and they aren't that bad as far as price goes. However to get one that retains a weather band is the ticket. Let me do some research for you and see what I can find. I have plenty that will do everything else you want just not the weather band, but I will look into it.

 

Some Marine radios will have that option.
But not many.
