Default Bridged my amp

Received my DSO Nano oscilloscope last week. Started playing around with it, set everything flat with a 1khz and 60 kHz test tone, set the sensitivity to zereo and going against everything I read discovered the Sony Headunit clipped at 82%, dropped it down to 75% and set the gains. Didn't help the system other than piece of mind. Saw tailwinds post regarding bridging his amp so said what the hell, based on the 1.8 factor he stated I started there, saw Slydog tell him to run the full 250, the speakers have a 300 W max so I cranked it up. Ran both tones with the oscilloscope it had plenty of room. Man did that system wake up, Even at the 60 Hz on the 6x9's no humming, rumbling buzzing clean music. Going to pull the Hertz out of the bags and test them in the fairing.

Which Somy heady it? Which amp did you bridge? What speakers are you using? Did you also use a DMM to get a final VAC reading? Just curious!

Awesome stuff Eric!!!! Very curious about the vac and ultimately the watts that were the result of your desired sound.
I know Slye and others don't place much value in the 1.8 factor probably due to background & experience and also having all the right tuning tools, thus the curiosity to see what your personal experience is so guys can consider that head room when matching amps and speaks.

Ep
Sony DSX MS60, amp is JL MhD 600/4 speakers Audiofrog GS693. I did set the voltage with the DMM, (31.6) bridged the amp will push 34.6 (300w). The amp will not go below 3 ohm or I would have run the 4 speakers Parallel, does anyone know how I can get 2 ea. 4ohm speakers run parallel up to 3 ohm?

Tailwind the audio frogs are 100 RMS -300 max, I set them at 250, HP at 60 the amp still had room, going to experiment to see how much I can get out of it bridged. I played yes owner of a lonely heart to test as it punches hard on the intro, and Steve Earls copper head road to test the 60 hz setting, no problem. I have spoke to one of the guys from Audio Frog several times He's from Port Arthur, going to call him tomorrow and discuss with him.

Let me know when your ready to meet up at Woodys, I'll hand off the Nano

So u r running about 2.49 X RMS for that speaker so 1.8 is a safe play in this example.

GS 693 = 100 RMS & 300 Max.

Thx for the feedback Brotha!!!

Can't do it. Closest would be 3 - 4ohm speakers.

2 - 4ohm in series connected in parallel to 1 - 4ohm which would get you 2.667 ohm at the amp.
