Default Anyone hear the new Polk line?

Just curious to see if anyone here has had the option to listen to the new Polk DB652/DB692 speaker line? Different construction and higher power capability for both. I ask cuz I'm considering the MM651UM line for upcoming lowers but see the DB652 version can handle a bit more power. Thx for input

The DB line has always been second tier to the MM line. The MM line is the cream of the crop. Have not heard the new DB line so I don't want to judge but historically the DB line have not been very good speakers for our bikes. I'd stick with the MM line.

Thx Gann.. I ask because in email conversation with Polk, they're leaning to recommend the DB652 versus the MM651UM for my type of use. They do say at stationary/lower speeds the MM will sound richer, but at 65+mph when the fidelity lessens, the DB652 will likely be able to handle the higher power of the BT4180 a bit better when running parallel to the fairing/7.1 Pro speakers. No one in my area has either on playing display.

i installed a pair of these in my fairing being run with a Pioneer MVH-X580BS and they sound pretty good. I have not tried the mm line though so I don't have anything to compare. I plan on adding lower fairings with db651s this weekend also run off of the pioneer. I may eventually upgrade to an amp, but it's pretty loud already.

I've heard these words before. Good luck bud. You've been bitten already and don't even realize it.

I would definitely be interested in the over sound quality. Keep us posted.
