Default BT RCA speaker/amp cable always come loose

Hey there

Got the biketronics amp and speaker package for 2016 roadglide special and had it professionally installed.

The cable to the right speaker at the amp connection seems to come loose about every 1500 miles and it's a pita to pull the fairing and tighten, especially on trips. It's happened 4 times now.

I've had the original installer look at it and an HD dealer tech. The tech put zip strips on it, but it seems to be coming loose again.

Anybody else have this problem? Were you able to fix it?

Thanks

Are you using the cables that came with the BT kit?

My left rear came loose a couple of times. A dab of silicone around the edges is holding mine in place.

Yep, using the BT cables that came in the kit. Was just reading about the Krux cables and stinger. Seems like this may be a common BT issue.

I have found the BT cables and the Krystal Kable's to fit very snugly onto the amp. The outside of the cable also grips onto the opening in the amp as shown in the pic below. These cables don't fit as well into the LL's do to the opening being smaller. I wasn't impressed with how the Stinger 4000 series fit. I was impressed with there flexibility thou.

This is probably not as much of an issue on the RG but with the fairing off turn the bars full left and right and make sure nothing is tugging on the RCA's.
