Default Focal krc 165's in Rushmore fairing

Will the Focal krc's mount externally on the Rushmore pods or do they require the bt brackets?

After looking at that damn video u might make a little assessment about how much time and energy u will invest in hacking up the pods and perhaps justify purchasing the BT Fairing Bracket.

as someone who just did this same thing for a set of Hertz I wholeheartedly agree. The aggravation isn't worth it

Thanks for all of the responses. I have Hertz BCC installed currently but I just mounted them on the outside of the pods and have had no issues. One concern that I have with the bt brackets is that there is no enclosure so nothing to create any pressure at all. Kind of like wiring up a speaker and laying it on a table compared to mounting in an enclosure but obviously they are selling a lot of them so they must work.

Going from mounting the Focal EC165KS (KRC replacements) and then going to the BT bracket, the BT brackets are the way to go. The focals sounded fuller to me and mid bass response was better. Really brought them to life in my opinion.

I also put sound deadener on the outter and inner (where ever i could) fairing

The inside of the fairing is your enclosure which allows much more room for the speakers to breath. The BT speaker brackets are a definite improvement.

I 100% agree the BT brackets improved the response and sound of them in the fairing. Had them in mine for 1 year mounted in the pod the recently changed to the BT brackets? Easy enough to install in the pod if you go that way.
But again it's the difference of night and day with the brackets.

I just watched the video and between that and all of the team testimonials for the BT brackets I am sold. They must be made of gold looking at the cost though. To think that a couple years ago I was one of the $500 audio guys.
