unhooking the amp under tour pack
I have been kicking around doing a detachable tourpac mount on my 2012 Ultra. I was told if i remove the tourpac and unhook the rear amp i wont be able to use the radio...is this true? is there a jumper harness i can plug in to bypass the removed amp? I still want useage of the radio thru the front speakers with the tourpac removed...any suggestions or ideas please share..

well try to un plug it and see, mine is a little older 2005' with no amp in rear, and it worked fine, I have to admit i take the box off very little due to its so darn handy for storage

As already posted, having the Boom system the only way I know for sure is to disconnect the power and speakers and see what happens.
Edit: Is there a separate amp for the front speakers?

Well if this is the case the OP can't remove the TP and keep his tunes. I could see installing an amp under the TP to power rear lid speaker. An amp under the fairing would have been a much better approach on a four speaker setup and allow for TP removal.
