in depth setting question

You may already know this but I ran into trouble with it so thought I'd mention it. Make sure when you're adjusting your gains the bike is running. Someone posted some numbers but the power to the amp is alot more while running than just ignition on. Hate to see you do it all perfectly then get out on road and it distorts!!! Guess how I know... Again, maybe you know but can't hurt for others in the future. Keep us posted.

That depends on the head unit and amp used. The Rushmore need to be running from my understanding depending on flash or LL . Both my amps had no change bike running or off. Setring gains by ear with bike running is also harder to hear distortion. Most class d amps have regulated power supplies that do not change outout based off input voltage. I say most. You need to check your amps spec to be sure.

Finally had to me to mess with the bike more. It's almost to where I had it before the head unit messed up but still not quite there. I'm finding it really hard to tell the difference between speaker distortion and guitar distortion... Doing the mp3 gain actually made my volume issues worse to me.. The few songs that had low volume sound great while others are way too loud lol.. I find myself wanting to keep turning the gains up, I'm at about 9/10 o'clock, freq at 80ish but still wanting more.. Not really in the budget to redo the system but I might want to look into new speakers to pair with the b2
