Default Mounting an amp under a tour pack

Anyone successfully mounted an amp under, bottom side, a tour pack. I would like to run lids and tour pod speakers off of a 4 channel amp but don't want to sacrifice any storage/travel space. Also, any lids that are taller then stock that give a little more room and take away a little less storage? How much of a hassle is it to take off your bags with lids wired into them, any sturdy quick disconnects for the wires, I can already see myself pulling a spade connector apart by forgetting to disconnect them first, lol. Seams I'm always taking my bags off for one reason or another. I have manual adjustable shocks on my ultra so that one comes off for that and the other side comes off to plug/unplug the trailer harness, plus washing and adjusting tire pressure.

Put the amp inside flush with the part of the tourpak that's where the passangers back rest is. You figure an amp sticks out about 2 inches, if you have it flush there you still have a lot of space left.

Check amazon for quick disconnects, there's a bunch that are water proof and you can add them just outside of the bag. If you want shallow mount, then stick to the 5X7's in the lids.

The ( earlier ) HD amp had provisions for mounting under the Tour Pak

Greatsteaks I considered mounting under the Tour-pak in the same location that the Boom 2 Amplifier is mounted but decided against it as most aftermarket amps are not waterproof as the Boom amplifier. I manufactured a housing for a Soundstream PN2.350D and the Biketronics BT355 and picked up the speaker outputs in the pods and ran these into the BT355 then through the amp back into the pods where I run a pair of Infinity Kappa 62.11i’s. The housing doesn’t take up that much space and I have the power on disconnect lead so I can remove the Tour-pak when I want to. All in all it works well.

JL Audio amp in my tourpak. 3 holes drilled in tourpak for air to get to it, and I ride solo 99% of the time, so when I listen to tunes for long periods of time, I lift the passenger "padding", and close the tourpak on it so the air will get to the amp.

All looks great guys but I don't have an inch to spare inside the tour pack as we "pack" the tour pack when we travel. AND we pack a pack that we put on the pack, lol.

Now if I could just mount some speakers on the top pack...
