I think if u get the 6x9 lids it will afford quite a few different options via adapters, mainly driven by how much u will expand ur system. I added 6x9s inside the bags for bass thus put a component 6.5 setup in my 6x9 lid holes for more loud and clear noise. There are also a couple very good 5x7s that can also be dropped in the 6x9 hole with adapters.
Google the "6x9 to 5x7, or 6.5" and see what ur options are.
In summary, I think your biggest canvas will be the 6x9 footprint.

Well it comes down to form, function and ultimately what YOU like.
I had a few scoff at my plans to do 8.8 lids on a non big wheel bagger so I "settled" on Bad Dad lids. Don't get me wrong, the Bad Dad's are awesome lids and look really cool beans but I didn't want a 6x9 but after seeing them, I also don't want an 8.8 in my lid. The size of those 8.8's are insane and take up way to much real estate for me.
I think though if you want the best range of options, the 6x9 lids offer a lot of options. I see FF just released the dual 6x9's for 14+ bags today. You could do multiple options with that setup for sure.
