Default Apple Music

Any way to convert Apple Music files to MP3 for the USB stick?
Since Apple Music is a subscription I don't know if Apple allows you to since you don't technically "own" them.
I could rip the songs but I was worried about true quality.

It can be done and actually pretty easy. You Tube is probably the best source for tutorials. Basically u want to find ur music files on your computer via My Computer then also open up ur external drive. Keep the two windows side by side and simply drag the file from the music folder to the external or usb. U can copy and paste the files as well if that is easier.

You Tube it!!!!

I found another free piece of software I use frequently call "Switch Sound File Converter". Use it all the time to convert to mp3. Usually for Flac or m4v files. Just another suggestion.

I think you can convert the AAC file to MP3 right in iTunes. You just create an MP3 version.

Does Apple Music actually store a file on your computer or is it just streamed?

You can purchase unprotected (non DRM) from ITunes. I usually download in AIFF uncompressed format. But then I have to convert to Mpeg 4 or MP3 for the bike. If you download in Mpeg 4 it will play from the USB on the rushmore infotainment.
