Default adding lowers so would like speaker help

hey guys
i have a 14sg with bt4180 in the fairing and kappas in the pods of the batwing. what would be a good speaker that might compliment them for a decent/affordable price. any ideas would be appreciated.

I guess it would depend on if you are going to add more speakers in the future, like lid or tour pak pod speakers. If you are only adding the lowers, you could go with Kappas or a lot of the guy's love the Arc 602's in the lowers! I'm running BT 6.5 Titan II in the lowers and they also sound good there! If your gonna add more speakers you should stick with the Kappas so you can run them in parallel with your fairing speakers!

You can't run the Kappas in parallel Mike. They are 2ohm.

Technically yes but I'm not sure I'd wanna be the one to test it.
OP if you think there's a chance you may wanna add rear speakers in the future, do like Mike said and put you a good 4ohm speaker in the lowers. Future speakers should be 4ohm as well and ran in parallel with lowers. If no plans for more speakers, then put another set of Kappas in and let her rip.

ok so i do plan on running speakers in the lids as well. i was thinking the kappa 6x9's. so i cant run two setts of the kappa 62.11 in paralelle on the front channel?

I read that the 4180 is 1 ohm stable on here...but I would give BT (Bill) a call and ask them to make sure you can run the Kappas in parallel!

stupid question... is that amp 4 ohm compatable? wire kappas in series?
