Yes you can. But the real question should be, How well are the Kappas gonna hold up to that much power.

so here is my question then. i only have kappas in my fairing right now. i would like to have speakers in my lowers and plan on in the near future getting lids and speakers. i dont want to kust get rid of the kappas since i paid for them and they are still good. im not opposed to moving them to the lowers. what would be my best route and i dont want to spend more than $150-200 on each new pair of speakers.

Since you want to keep the Kappas I'd leave them where they are. I'd contact member LL247 here on the forums and let him help you with some 4ohm speakers that's within your budget. He's also a vendor. You'll need 4 ohm in the lowers and bags and run them in parallel and leave the Kappas as they are.

If in fact the 4180 is stable at 1 ohm it would not be a problem because the kappas are actually 2.7 ohm speakers if I remember correctly. Many have tried the series set ups and have never seen success.
