Default B52 vs B54

So I installed the B52 on my 2016 SGS on top of the radio and it sounds awesome with the Hertz 6.5 without the pods. Now it seems I want to add 2 additional speakers (Focal) and I cannot stack another B52 in the fairing. Would it be wise to replace the B52 with a B54?

B52 is 200x2 @ 4 ohms and the B54 is 80x4 @ 4 ohms.

I would like to try and keep it simple with only 1 amp and keep the same size amp. Thoughts? I don't want to lose any sound/volume that I have as it is now. I suppose I will need another harness for the rear set out of the radio and another BT LL?

Thanks
Jace

Looks like you would have more power by running the B52 in 2 Ohm mode with the 4 speakers in parallel (125 watts/speaker versus 80 watts/speaker).

Your getting into moto 600.4 territory or soundstream pn1000d. Do not run those 2 different speakers in parallel. Never run mismatched sets that way. The 80x4 won't be enough.

I should have also mentioned the rears will be detachable. So if removing them at times, wouldn't that mess that gain settings?

I was afraid the 80x4 wouldn't be enough.

That it would because it would go from 125wpc back to 200wpc. You would also loose any balance functionality by running them in parallel (was assuming you were running them all up front).

As already mentioned, going with a better 4 channel amp would be your best choice. Going from 200wpc down to 80wpc would be a step backwards.

What is your budget ?

Also, what are your speaker models ?

Default B54

Now...just to throw you down another Avenue....
Bridge the B54. Its 300 x2 bridged and could be run in parallel.
However, you need to make sure that all of your speakers are 4 ohm as stated earlier.
You would also lose any front to rear fading ability.

Go Soundstream 1000D and call it good.

The bridged B54 does not appear to be 2 ohm rated/stable.

Damn! Did not realize that. My bad...
Scratch that then. Running my 4v2 bridged, but in 4 ohm.
