The FM reception is not HU dependent, and there's ways to shield your HU from EMI to reduce the loss of FM reception. You'll find lots of posts on this forum from guys who had the exact same amp and radio combo's and different results with loss or kept FM reception.

I have FM with my Arc amp( which is made to shield emi as much as possible) but have a phase 7 headlamp. It's notorious for killing FM. It's a hit or miss. You Rockford is same as arc and shielded but other factors also can be a cause. Btw I have the cheapest crappiest antenna known to man and still have FM right now. My antenna is a piece of primary wire attached to the antenna plug.

Was offered and exchange but they would not verify another unit would do the same. My point is if you have an I pod or I phone it's great for that . It's designed for Apple products.
