Help with Lowers and Speakers
#42
Finally my audio upgrade is complete. The 7.1's and the Titans in lowers sound really good. The BT2180 does a good job and the speakers respond. Now to wait for the rain to ease here in C. Texas! My only issue is I hear some vibrations in the fairing and the lowers when the bike isn't running. Anyone add batting or other material to lessen the vibrations? Overall, I am really happy with my sound system. On to the next upgrade!!!

On the SG, I put a piece of batten folded over behind the speakers in the lower.
On the 2015 Ultra I didn't find a need for any batten or polyfill in the fairing and am not getting any vibration sounds. A couple of things I did do is put a piece of 3/4" backer rod in between the BT speaker bracket and the inner fairing as shown in the pick below. Another was to add an extra bolt and spacer to the speaker bracket to help reinforce the inner fairing. Here's the thread showing the process.
